Greece to Lower Tax on Rental Income from 2026
Starting in 2026, Greece will introduce a new intermediate tax rate of 25% on rental income between €12,000 and €24,000 per year, replacing the current 35% rate for this income bracket.
The updated system aims to ease the tax burden on property owners and encourage compliance within the rental market.
Current tax rates on rental income:
• Up to €12,000 — 15%
• From €12,000 to €35,000 — 35%
• Above €35,000 — 45%
The new structure will adjust the middle bracket to 25% for income up to €24,000, offering noticeable relief for small and mid-size landlords.
